Just yesterday, the Philippine version of Super Junior's third album entitled Sorry, Sorry was released under Universal Records. Being a self-confessed Sujuholic, I naturally bought this version even though I already have the Korean version of the album.
Since I now have both version, I just want to post a comparison/contrast of the Korean and Philippine versions.
Comparison:
1. Basically the contents are the same. There are only very small changes (just tiny bits) in the Philippine version
Contrast
1. Price - Philippine version (Php395); Korean version (around Php600-650)
2. Add-ons - the Philippine version has a free poster when you buy during the first 3 days of release.
3. Texture - Korean version is smooth and glossy; Phil version is also smooth but IDK how to describe it...
4. Printing - Korean version is WAY WAY WAY nicer! Phil version is more of the "xeroxed" version of the Korean version. The "sparkles" in certain parts of the album are not there. Also, pictures in the Phil. version appear to be dark.
5. CD - this is a major turn-off in the CD version. The CD is like a pirated CD (it is very thin) and the printing is substandard - there are blots!
6. Weight - Korean version is heavier (may be it's because of the paper and CD used).
7. The SM academy leaflet is not included in the Phil version (it's just a booklet with fanclub stuff)
~about the poster. Honestly, the free poster was one of the major reasons I bought the Phil version. But then, I'm quite disappointed with it. :( The paper is so thin. :( It's like those you buy in Divisoria for 15 pesos. :(
I included pictures comparing the two versions.

AND OH, IT DOESN'T HAVE THIS SM ACADEMY BOOKLET. (WELL THIS IS NOTHING ANYWAY)

THIS ONE IS THE MAJOR DISAPOINTMENT (very thin CD plus blots in the printing)

THE FREE POSTER IS LIKE THIS

WITH MY OTHER SJ STUFF
*****PEOPLE, don't get me wrong. I do not regret buying the Philippine Version. It's my way of supporting Super Junior. :) My point is... it would be better if they just sell the original Korean version even if it costs around 650 bucks. The quality is still more important for me.
